How the MHSAA bracket works
Seven classifications, five rounds, one Saturday-stadium finish in Jackson.
32 teams per class
Each classification (1A–7A) seeds 32 teams across two regions — region champions plus at-large qualifiers from each district.
Five rounds in five weeks
First round, second round, quarterfinals, and semifinals run weekly through November. Higher seeds host until the title game.
Championship weekend
All seven state title games are played at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium in Jackson across consecutive days in early December.
