About YDFA
Football, teamwork and development.
“The mission of the YDFA is to teach the fundamentals of football. Each program shall be developed and organized to ensure, as well as to enhance, the emotional, physical, social and education well-being of children. The program shall promote the ideals of responsibility, hard work, sportsmanship, teamwork, and fellowship in youth while instructing the game of football in a positive and safe environment. The individual growth of the youth in our communities will be enhanced through the spirit of competition, discipline, and fair play. We will accomplish these goals by providing a program that maintains the highest standards and seeking out coaches and other volunteers willing to teach and exemplify these same principles.”

What is YDFA football?
YDFA is the Youth Developmental Football Association of North Mississippi, a youth football organization focused on fundamentals, responsibility, hard work, sportsmanship, teamwork, fellowship, discipline, and fair play in a positive and safe environment.

Complete finals from Weeks 1–6 are listed by age group. Weeks 7 and 8 have no finals posted yet.
What divisions does YDFA use?
Scores are separated into three age groups: Mighty Mites, Juniors, and Seniors. For league play, teams are grouped into 1A–3A and 4A–6A classifications with East and West divisions. Alcorn Central withdrew from 1A–3A East, leaving 15 active programs.
When is the 2026 YDFA season?
The 2026 regular season runs from August 22 through October 10. East and West playoff dates are October 17 and October 24, followed by the YDFA Super Bowl hosted by Belmont on October 31.
