Week 1 means real games, and for Saltillo and New Albany, it means opening the 2026 season against each other at Tiger Stadium.
The Bulldogs travel to Lee County while Saltillo opens at home with a defense that retooled over the spring and an offense looking to set the tone early.
This is the kind of north Mississippi non-region matchup that sets the table for everything that follows. Kickoff is 7:00 Friday night at Tiger Stadium, follow the score and full Week 1 coverage right here on WatchNMSN.com.
